Epic’s Culinary and Culture E-MTB tours are a great way to see the region and sample some of the local specialties. We have a variety of tours on offer to suit all standards, fitness levels and expectations. Go privately or join one of our groups.

Culinary & Culture Tours

The Bella Vista Culinary & Culture tour is a breathtaking E-bike ride from Lenzerheide ( 1475m ) down to the UNESCO World Heritage listed Solis Bridge ( 846m ) and up to the stunning village of Stierva ( 1375m ) for a traditional lunch from the region. The tour then slowly winds it’s way down to Tiefencastel ( 851m ) before beginning the gental climb up to Lenzerheide via Alvaschein ( 1001m ).
With the peddle assistance that only an E-bike can offer this tour can be completed by a wide variety of ages and fitness levels.

Duration: Approximately 6 Hours. 09:00-15:00
Distance: 40-50 km
Riding level required: Beginner/intermediate. Needs to be confidant riding a bike on all surfaces
Fitness level required: Low/medium
Riding surface: Mostly gravel roads with a small amount of single track riding.

Highlights: Solis Bridge which was built in 1902, is 42 meters wide and 85 meters above the valley floor. It was built for the Rhätische Bahn and is still in use today. The world famous Glacier Express also travels through this special part of the region. The village of Steirva is with a population of 135 people is a village that time forgot. The main language in Steirva is the fourth but very little know language of Switzerland, Romanisch.

Included: All day guidng and E-bike instruction with Epic bike. Tradional Capuns lunch with a salad starter and a non-alcholic drink. Good times, great memories and plenty of photo opportunities are also included.

Not included: E-bike, helmet and a little sense of adventure. E-bikes can be arranged for CHF 60.- per person per tour including helmet.

 

This tour is reccomended for a rider that is confident on a bike and would like to explore the region and sample one of Graubunden’s culinary specialities. It is reccomended that participants take a small back pack with some water and a little snack.

The Alp Fops Culinary & Culture tour is one of our smaller on offer and is perfectly suited to those who want to slow down and really enjoy their time in the mountains. Alp Fops is situated at 1886m and was build the late 1800’s. This family run alpine hut serves a variety of house made dried meets and cheese and is a must for every vistor to the region.

Highlights: Exploring the Lenzerheide valley one assisted peddle stroke at a time. Slowly rise above the village taking in the ever changing scenery. Lunch at Alp Fops with their local family produced products. A traditional lunch with dried meats, local cheeses, breads and barley soup. A nice and gentle ride back down through the valley.

Included: All day guidng and E-bike instruction with Epic bike. Tradional mountain hut lunch and a non-alcholic drink. Good times, great memories and plenty of photo opertunities are also included.

Not included: E-bike, helmet and a little sense of adventure. E-bikes can be arranged for CHF 60.- per person per tour including helmet.

The original alpine stable built in 1888 still remains today and forms the outter walls of this modern cheese processing plant. Cleaverly renovated in such a way that visitors to Plantahof Alp can view the cheese making process from inside the stable. The cattle have long since moved out been replaced with up 23 tones of alpine cheese produced from local milk. The Plantahof Alp cheese factory is a must for every vistor to the region.

Highlights: As you slowly climb out of the Lenzerheide valley on the wider gravel roads there will be plenty of time to stop and take in the ever changing views. As with all our Culinary & Culture tours we are in no rush to be anywhere. Once at Plantahof Alp you will have a guided tour of the factory concluding with a sample of their finest products. Once finished in the alp we will resume our leisurely pace on the bike and continue to explore the area.

Equipment Rental

Epic is more then happy to reserve your equipment for you and if needed your instructor can meet you at the sports shop before your lesson to help with the rental process.
Remember to allow around one hour to get fitted on your first day. If possible, pickup your rentals the evening before your first day on the slopes.

Booking

  • Bookings can be made by telephone, email or by sending us your requirements through our contact page.
  • A reservation can only be guaranteed when full payment has been received in advance.
  • When arranged payments can be made directly to the instructor/guide at the start of the lesson. Full payment is required upon meeting the instructor/guide. Full payment is considered the total amount of time reserved and not part there of. If full payment is not made the instructor/guide has the right to not proceed with the booking.
  • Gift certificates are non refundable and can not be redeemed for cash. Gift certificate payment is due 14 days after the certificate has been issued.
  • Gift certificates that have been issued will not be accepted until full payment has been received.

Payment

  • Payments can be made in cash, bank transfer, Paypal or by credit card directly to instructor.
  • Payments by PayPal incur a 5{2fd640d204f6c049fe49a24c3019abb9d5c6413a39c98a3d9e43caeefe85bfbf} handling fee.
  • Credit card payments made will be processed using SumUp mobile card payment system and will incur a 2.5{2fd640d204f6c049fe49a24c3019abb9d5c6413a39c98a3d9e43caeefe85bfbf} processing fee.
  • Cheques are not accepted.
  • No refunds will be given due to bad weather, snow conditions, illness or lost luggage.
  • Epic Snowspnorts GmbH understands that unexpected situations do occur and all request for refunds will be taken into consideration.

Cancellation policy

  • Only Epic Snowspnorts GmbH or a representative of Epic Snowspnorts GmbH can cancel bookings due to weather or snow conditions.
  • Reservations can be cancelled up to 15 days prior to that start of the booking without incurring a cancellation fee.
  • A cancellation 14-7 days before the start of the booking 50{2fd640d204f6c049fe49a24c3019abb9d5c6413a39c98a3d9e43caeefe85bfbf} of total cost from booking will be charged.
